Whats new with Philip Bennett Walker? Aside from dropping a brand new series of originals, throwing an epic gallery party with his artistic counterpart, Mo, the other half of #TheMP, and everything in between, he's partnered with a local restaurant for some fresh new art.
Philips works recently caught the eye of our friends at ABBQ - one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants that brings Texas style bbq to the beach. Shortly after meeting with the owners, a new concept was brought to life.
Mixing east and west, Philip's infamous Shrimp Boat and Banana Leaves now compliment the modern farmhouse style decor.
But wait, there's even more. Besides the delicious food, you're soon to feast your eyes on more works by Philip Walker. However these will be collaborations with none other than Jay Wilson of MERAMaps. If you are familiar with Jay's work, you know that his pieces can take you anywhere through current and vintage city maps.
And if you've been paying attention, he and Philip have already completed two collabs, one of a Duval County Map from 1916 which Philip painted his well known Jaguar, and another of Philips home town of New Smyrna Beach, which features a shark hand painted by Philip, who's all too familiar with the creatures that lurk in its waters.
The new pieces yet to come are going to have to stay a surprise, but be sure to check out ABBQ, their amazing food, friendly staff, and stay tuned for new pieces in the works!
