Philip Bennett Walker’s mural game has recently extended north to Amelia Island! The team would like to thank Nikki Causey and Brit O'Donoghue, who initially got Philip on board with this project, and Landmark Title for the opportunity to get creative and make their vision come to life.
This past week Philip worked with the team at Landmark Title for the opening of their new Amelia Island location, coming up with color schemes, font and overall aesthetic to match their branding.
The result is a post card style mural in the lobby where photo ops are a must for clients, employees and visitors.
The process of the mural started the week prior with creating a proof on canvas which was to be approved. After some slight editing, Philip and his team were ready to get to work, but not before securing the paint and dozens of other materials needed (of which none were forgotten this time!)
If you've ever been to Amelia Island from Jacksonville you know the best way is via the ferry, and driving the beautiful coastal roads into town. Of course this was a must for the team to start off and end our work days!
Once we arrived on day one Elizabeth and I got to work taping off windows for Philips projector ~ aka setting the mood lighting ~ while Philip outlined and taped off sections to get us started.
The rest of the color blocking and detail went smoothly, incorporating blues, grays and tans with pops of lime green and coral for a tropical vibe.
We of course had a blast listening to music as we got into the zone, focusing on layers of color and tight lines that are signature to Philip's original artwork.
Us three amigos were able to finish the mural in just two days and with only one Chick-fil-A haul. If you know us then you know we love to treat ourselves to some nuggets and waffle fries so this is a huge deal!
Philip is looking forward to working with Nikki, Brit and the rest of the Landmark Title team for future opportunities, and there's even one coming up soon!
There will be a Happy Hour event at Sandbar in Amelia Island on Wednesday, July 21 beginning at 4:30, which us girls at Elizabeth Sarah Collections will be joining in with a pop-up featuring our handmade one of a kind jewelry. You'll be able to see the original painting Philip created, too, as it will be an additional office fixture and representation for the brand!
